How do you apply cream products on your face? You should always apply cream by first warming the cream in your hands. Then apply by placing hands flat against the entire surface of your face starting from the middle of the face and out to the ears. The same process should be done for forehead, neck and décolleté area.

With this application, you are effectively patting the cream into your face, rather than applying in an upward motion as is most commonly done. Never rub or stretch skin, the less push and pull on your skin, the better.

Are you getting enough SPF coverage? The suggested application for a product with SPF coverage of 30 is at least 2 grams.

This means that you have to put the equivalent of 2 grams of sun block on your face to get the SPF 30 coverage. Rather than getting out the weighing scale, better to just use a sun block with SPF coverage of 40 or 50.

Are you over using your powder puff? Do you use the same powder puff until your foundation or powder runs out? With everyday use and over use, the powder puff can accumulate bacteria and mop up sweat when you retouch your make up. Change your powder puff every few months. If you are using a sponge puff, make sure you wash it regularly.

When picking a blush color, it is very important that you pick a shade that best matches your skin tone. The best color for you would be the one that you would naturally have when you are flushed, like when you’ve just finished exercising. For more mature women, blushes with a micro shimmer pearl finish is a better pick over matte ones. Remember to use a larger brush so you get a more natural result. Using a finer shimmer powder over your blush will disguise any of your imperfections further and the touch of the sheer colors will give you a total healthy glow.
